The FLIR TG165-X MSX Thermal Camera is an infrared imager suitable for inspection and diagnostic applications. It provides non-contact temperature measurements and a thermal image allowing the user to identify hot and cold spots, which may be indicative of a fault, quickly and easily. It can be used to troubleshoot issues in buildings as well as electrical, mechanical and HVAC/R systems.
Thermal Imaging
The FLIR TG165-X MSX Thermal Camera has an IR resolution of 80 x 60px and a thermal sensitivity of <70mK. It is equipped with a 51°x 66° field of view, a 24:1 distance-to-spot ratio, and a fixed focus. It can measure and display temperatures between -25°C and 300°C/ -13°F and 572°F to an accuracy of ±1.5°C/ 3°F.
In addition to this, the FLIR TG165-X MSX Thermal Camera features six user-selectable thermal palettes: Iron, Rainbow, White Hot, Black Hot, Arctic and Lava.
Imaging Modes
The user can set the FLIR TG165-X MSX Thermal Camera to capture thermal, MSX or visual images with temperature readings. When the MSX (Multi-Spectral Dynamic) mode is engaged, the FLIR TG165-X MSX Thermal Camera will enhance thermal images using digital detail allowing users to see components, wires and sources of faults more clearly.
Visual images and details are captured using the FLIR TG165-X MSX Thermal Camera’s 2MP digital camera with a fixed focus and 71° x 56° field of view.
Display and Storage
Live and saved images can be viewed on the FLIR TG165-X MSX Thermal Camera’s 2.4” display. Captured images may be saved to the FLIR TG165-X MSX Thermal Camera’s built-in 4GB storage; it has the capacity to store up to 50 000 images. This allows the user to document findings and corrections as he/she can capture and save before and after images.
Ergonomic
The FLIR TG165-X MSX Thermal Camera features easy-to-use buttons and a simple trigger-pull for capturing images. It also includes a bullseye laser pointer for identifying the specific area of measurement and a bright LED work light that enables inspection of dark or hard-to-reach places.
The FLIR TG165-X MSX Thermal Camera is housed in an IP54 casing that has been drop tested from 2m. Furthermore, this portable thermal camera is supplied with a rechargeable Li-ion battery capable of providing up to five hours of power.
The FLIR TG165-X MSX Thermal Camera is a handheld, easy-to-use and versatile thermal imaging camera.
