Tachometer Calibration

UKAS Calibration: Tachometers
Standard Points: 60, 600, 6,000 & 60,000 RPM
Additional Points: Please call for details
Calibration Standard: UKAS Certified Calibration**
**A UKAS calibration can also be considered traceable. The difference between the two is that UKAS calibrations are carried out under the remit of an ISO/IEC 17025 quality system by a laboratory that has been accredited by UKAS, to ensure the consistency and accuracy of results. As such, all our UKAS calibrations are carried out by our fully accredited partner laboratories.

Tachometer Calibration Procedure

Step 1: Send us your instruments

Instrumentation can be sent to us with a copy of your official order, or order confirmation. Alternatively, we can arrange a collection via our own designated courier (charges apply). Please contact our Technical Team who will be happy to arrange this. Please ensure your instruments are clean and free from contaminants.

Step 2: Booking in

When your instrument arrives on-site it undergoes an initial inspection by our calibration staff. The instrument is checked for any damage, and functionality and batteries are tested for the correct voltage. If required, new batteries are installed and the item is booked in. Your item is redirected to our partner UKAS calibration lab. Should any faults or damage be found our team will contact you to discuss your options.

Step 3: Testing

UKAS

Carried out under the most stringent conditions, your meter is tested and its accuracy is recorded at the designated calibration points. Due to UKAS requirements, the accuracy of your instrument will be recorded at each point, but no adjustments can be undertaken should it be out of specification.

Step 4: Producing your Calibration Certificate

Your test data is detailed on a calibration certificate which includes testing conditions, equipment used, measurement errors, and any measurements of uncertainty ensuring full traceability.

Step 5: Payment and Shipping

Our calibration team will contact you with an update about your instruments and request payment. Your items are then safely repackaged and shipped via express delivery that typically arrives the very next day.
