The AST-9258 offers modern, compact design combined with ease of use making this a cost-effective thermometer for liquid and semi-solid sampling. The 100 x 4mmØ stainless steel probe is connected to the unit with a 1 metre cable and can be clipped to the instrument body for single handed use.

A UKAS calibration can also be considered traceable. The difference between the two is that UKAS calibrations are carried out under the remit of an ISO/IEC 17025 quality system by a laboratory that has been accredited by UKAS, to ensure the consistency and accuracy of results.
